Job Summary
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to prepare and cook high-quality dishes while coordinating the activities of cooks and food-service associates. You will assume leadership of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Essential Duties:
- Culinary Excellence: Prepare food following approved recipes and production standards; ensure all deadlines and portion controls are met.
- Leadership: Supervise hourly associates, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and performance counseling.
- Safety & Sanitation: Maintain strict adherence to corporate, state, and federal food safety procedures (HACCP).
- Inventory Management: Monitor deliveries, track production/waste, and manage supply levels.
- Customer Service: Interact with guests to resolve concerns and provide detailed information regarding daily menu items.
