[Announcement] The 45th Annual Korea Daily Student Art Contest: Calling All Central Texas Students!

Hello Austin Korean Association (AKA) members and community residents,

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the 45th Annual Korea Daily Student Art Contest (2026), the longest-running and most prestigious art competition for youth in the Korean-American community.

Established in 1980, this historic competition has seen over 30,000 participants and continues to celebrate young artistic talent across the nation. This year, the event is co-hosted and sponsored by Bank of Hope, elevating its prominence and prestige.

To grant students more recognition opportunities, the competition has undergone significant changes this year. Participants can now submit up to three entries per person across both Art and Video categories. This is a phenomenal opportunity for middle and high school students looking to strengthen their extracurricular portfolios for college admissions.

We strongly encourage parents, students, and local art academies in Austin and Central Texas to actively participate and showcase our community's incredible talent!

Key Highlights & Benefits

• Up to 3 Entries Per Person (Higher Chances of Winning) Students can submit up to 3 individual entries across both the Art and Video categories. This allows participants to demonstrate diverse artistic styles and significantly boost their chances of placing.
• Expanded Prize Pool: $15,000 for 175 Awardees To reward more young creators, the total cash prize pool has been increased to $15,000, and the total number of awardees has been expanded to 175 students nationwide.
• Prestigious College Portfolio & Resume Builder As a national competition backed by a leading media group and financial institution, receiving an award provides students with a highly credible extracurricular achievement for university applications.
• Convenient Online & Group Registrations Submissions can be easily completed on both desktop and mobile devices. For local art studios and academies, streamlined group submissions are supported via Excel upload on the official portal.
